Prayer times

Choosing a calculation method

Nur Clock calculates prayer times on the clock itself, using the method you choose. The default is Muslim World League.

Nur Clock, 2nd generationSettings → Athan Times → Location based

  1. Open Settings → Athan Times and choose Location based.

  2. Under Calculation & Adjustment, choose a method: Muslim World League, Egyptian, Karachi, Umm Al-Qura, Dubai, Qatar, Kuwait, Moonsighting Committee, Singapore, North America, or Manual input.

  3. Choose your Asr madhab: Shafi‘i, Maliki and Hanbali (the default), or Hanafi.

  4. In the UK and other northern countries, choose a high-latitude rule: Middle of the Night, Seventh of the Night, or Twilight Angle (the default).

  5. Changes save automatically. Check the new times on the home screen.

Not sure which method your mosque uses? Ask them, or match their times exactly with minute adjustments or their own timetable.
